Parliament Views over the Danube – City Living with a View
This riverside apartment offers a stunning panoramic view of the Danube and the Hungarian Parliament. Designed for a family of three visiting Budapest for cultural events, the goal was to create a bright, compact home using natural materials – a calm, elegant base in the heart of the city.
The layout features two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living spaces face the river, while the private rooms look onto a lush inner courtyard, including a family bathroom that opens onto a cozy green terrace. Despite structural constraints such as chimneys and ventilation shafts, we successfully separated the public and private zones for optimal functionality.
The children’s room, with a fold-down bed and acoustic glass partition, easily transforms into a quiet workspace. In the master bedroom, a generous wardrobe ensures that every occasion is met with the right outfit – no packing needed.
The result: a warm, welcoming, livable apartment — a refined urban retreat with postcard views.
